Medication Management / Psychopharmacology
Medications can play an important role in the treatment of a large number of conditions. I take medications very seriously, always discussing their risks and benefits before prescribing, and work to ensure that we are using the minimum amount necessary for treatment. After a comprehensive evaluation, we can discuss whether medications are right for you.

Psychotherapy
Therapy is often an important part of treatment. There are many different types of therapies, each aimed at helping with different types of problems. Some focus on learning tools to cope with stress, others help us increase our understanding of our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and some highlight how earlier experiences create patterns that affect us. I have received additional training in several types of therapy including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Schema Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness Based Therapy. I often take an “integrative” approach, combining elements of each in order to tailor my treatment to each individual.
